Local Priorities Anti-social behaviour - General Message

Dear Resident,

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Anti-social behaviour - General, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Officers are warning that someone could be hurt after a number of deliberate fires at Summerhill Country park and visitors centre in Hartlepool as fire continue to be an issue.
Fires continue to be started on numerous evenings over the past few months now. It is believed that youths and adults have been setting fires in the wooden area.
Setting fires in this area could potentially cause someone to be seriously hurt. Significant damage has been caused to the grass and trees on the site where birds are nesting and frogs are spawning, potentially destroying the natural habitat of the wildlife there.
This behaviour will not be tolerated and we would ask that parents in the area assist us by education their children on the serious dangers and consequences of starting fires.
Off-road bikes and e-bike continue to be a concern in the area too so any information regarding this would be appreciated.
Anyone with information regarding the incidents is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 or crimestoppers on 0800555111.

As you have not contributed to the priority survey recently, we may be unaware of issues that you would like us to focus on. Please take a few minutes to securely and privately have your say using the link below, this will mean we can focus on things that matter to you.
